As a new year begins, there is no better time to come join us. Castleford Camera Club (CCC) membership for 2023 is open and we are waiting for you to come along and meet us all. CCC differ to alot of camera clubs in many ways, the main difference being we are a very active club, this means you wont be just sat in a hall watching and competing all the time like many other clubs do. This isnt of course saying there is anything wrong with how other clubs operate and I am certainly not knocking them. The way CCC runs is very different and caters for photographers of all abilities, take a look below to some reasons why you should come along.

As you can see from the list above, CCC has something for everyone. We have model evenings monthly, talks on various subjects regular, member presentations to show off their work and lots of other things too. If you have just got your first camera and dont have a clue how to use it, we can help. We will learn you the exposure triangle and have your shooting manual in no time at all. If you are an experienced photographer then we always have things of interest happening, if its not a model then it could be some kind of still life or other type of photography, or maybe you want to enter our internal competition where your images are judged by a YPU judge, we have 4 internal competitions per year and awards at the end of the year to the overall winner and the winners of each theme.

Come along for a free trial…. If you have never been to us before and want to come meet us to see if we are the right club for you, then we do offer 3 visits free of charge (unless it is a model night) where you can come along and get to know us and see how we operate as a club.
MEMBERSHIP
Becoming a member of CCC couldn’t be simpler, an annual Membership is just £25, additional family members can go on top of this for just an extra £5 per person. Member also need to be a member of The Roundhill Club where we hold our meetings, this is approx £5 for the year.
On top of the membership of CCC there is a charge of £2 (£3 for non members) when you come, this is merely to cover the cost of the room we hire. When we have a model night this increases to £5 (£8 for non members) to help cover the cost of the room and the model. These costs are always outlined on either the website or our Facebook event pages prior to the event so you know beforehand.
