The highly anticipated Annual Photography Inter-Club Competition brought together photographers from both Castleford and Normanton clubs to engage in a spirited showcase of talent, creativity, and technical mastery. Held on Monday October 14th, the competition saw participants from both clubs competing head-to-head in a dynamic display of visual storytelling. With each photographer vying for the top spot, the event was a celebration of the diversity and passion that define the world of photography.

While the competition was intense, the atmosphere was one of camaraderie and mutual respect. Photographers from both clubs took the opportunity to learn from one another, exchange ideas, and share their personal approaches to photography. Despite the rivalry, the event fostered a sense of unity, reminding everyone that the art of photography is a shared journey of discovery.

The judge Peter Wells and attendees alike were captivated by the technical expertise on display. Participants showcased a wide array of photographic techniques, from intricate macro photography to dramatic wide-angle shots. The interplay of color, light, and texture was mesmerizing, with photographers demonstrating their skills in framing, composition, and post-processing. More importantly, each image carried a distinct voice, combining artistry with technical excellence to create powerful visual narratives.

After a close fort competition, Castleford nudge the win from Normanton, 356 to 353. Congratulations to Castleford Camera Club, and also a big thank you for all who submitted prints for the competition.
