The world of Art Nude photography is new to the members of Castleford Camera Club, so we got in touch with Richard Egan and renowned Art Nude Photographer who is recognised all around the world for his excellent work.

On Monday 5th Feb 24 Richard Egan certainly gave us a presentation named ” Let there be light” In the excellent presentation he presented his fabulous art nude work, giving tips and tricks along the way. I must say, Richards work is very impressive and the lengths he goes to get the shots is unprecedented.  He has to liaise with models, make multiple journeys to locations to ensure that the lighting and shadows will be in the right places on the day he chooses to shoot as the majority of Richards work is using natural light (Richard very rarely uses flash.)  Richard Egan, also donates any money he makes from his Art Nude work to the Cancer Research charity too, which is very generous of him considering all the work he puts in. He is a true Gent.

On the night Castleford Camera Club donated all our takings from the door on the night and also donated extra as a club and Richard took away with him a massive £129 that is being donated to the Cancer Research charity.

I really hope that everyone who attended enjoyed the night and were as inspired as much as myself.  If you couldn’t attend or would like to donate more to the Cancer Research Charity, click on the button on the right
