The Castleford Camera Club is excited to announce its annual photography exhibition, opened on 07th September at Castleford Indoor Market. This highly anticipated event brings together photography enthusiasts from Castleford Camera Club, showcasing their unique perspectives and talents. There was over 5000 people through the door on the openning day.
This year’s exhibition features over 90 stunning photographs, ranging from nature and landscapes to portraits and abstract works. The Exhibition was opened by Local Councillor Josie Pritchard with a special guest appearance from Evette Cooper (Deputy Priminister).
In addition to the visual displays, the opening included a meet-and-greet with the photographers, offering visitors a chance to discuss the stories behind the images. The club’s president, Sharron Manson, expressed enthusiasm for this year’s exhibition, stating, “We’ve seen incredible growth in the diversity of styles and techniques from our members. This event not only highlights their hard work but also inspires others to pick up a camera and explore their own creativity.”
For those looking to get involved, Castleford Camera Club offers a range of workshops and activities throughout the year, designed to help photographers of all skill levels improve their craft. The exhibition will run until Thursday 12th September , and admission is free to the public.
